Micro-Scientific
Industries, Inc. Introduces
A
Newly Approved Disinfection Formula that Kills Hepatitis C Virus
Micro-Scientific
Industries, an Illinois producer and distributor of anitmicrobial
products recently announced the introduction of a new, EPA approved
product used to disinfect surgical and medical equipment surfaces in
hospitals and out-patient surgery centers.
Opti-Cide-3
is EPA registered and produced in an FDA approved facility and meets the
OSHA recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting blood-borne
pathogens.
The Opti-Cide-3 formula is effective against hepatitis C virus as
well as hepatitis B, TB and other microorganisms that present a
significant challenge to the health care industry.
The
human hepatitis viruses have been known to survive in dried blood on
surfaces for weeks and present a significant risk not only to patients,
but also to health care workers and their families.
This new, unique formula, kills a wide range of microorganisms
including bacteria, viruses and fungi with one 3-minute contact time.
No other formula has demonstrated efficacy in destroying such a
wide range of disease producing microbes in such a short period of a
time and still be safe for use and handling by health care workers.
Micro-Scientific
Industries, Inc scientists are working on developing new products to
address the challenges faced by the surge of newly discovered diseases
such as SARS.
